At it's current state, it's a $35~ game, and yes, even with the "season 2" missions planned. (Think Payday safehouse level of uninteresting) There isn't enough variety, the talent/skill trees all end up the same eventually and they need to balance weapons: all these symptoms add up to one diagnosis- the game is severely over-priced and needs some serious polish. The camp system is a bust and not at all interesting. The game is bland, boring and repetitive. While the Walking Dead television show is a boring trainwreck built on the suburban couple's over investment and stubbornness to break a bad habit, "Overkill's The Walking Dead" is primarily based on the comics, which still hold a glimmer of hope. I'll start with some positives: the game looks impressive on the surface and has a solid franchise to stand upon. mgs2 is the reason I purchased a ps2, and mgs4 was the reason I purchased a ps3.Update: Fanboys with buyer's remorse and shills might be able to spam Metacritic (Really, this game is a 10/10 perfect game for all of you? Update: Fanboys with buyer's remorse and shills might be able to spam Metacritic (Really, this game is a 10/10 perfect game for all of you? How interesting.) But it's harder to fake Steam reviews.

even then, the game would have to be pretty damn amazing. But unless something cheap happens to suck me in like a new mgs game being exclusive to console, I wont have a reason to buy one. Maybe there will not be so much of a difference with the ps4. with the exception of some games *online* aspects (such as mortal kombat which uses the same ps3 region/netcode and is almost unplayable online *at least for me*). and then you can go further with advanced graphical options assuming the game is not a lousy port, larger levels and more characters / players (64+ player servers on pc compared to 24 on ps3 for example *battlefield3*).Īnd considering you can just plug your ps3 controller into your pc with MotioninJoy\DS3_Tool drivers to emulate the xbox controller for windows (all controller features supported, including rumble), you will pretty much always be better off playing any console game that is also on pc on the pc. whenever it is possible to get a game on pc over console, the pc will always win for me, higher fps with a larger resolution and AA for a much better looking game.
